While our brave service man and woman are kept in Iraq to secure Oil interest and prevent a full out civil war (ahmmmm I meant to say "bring Democracy to the Iraqis") Our Senate spends it's time condemning the anti war movement. Today a in an amendment (SA 2909 ) to SEC. 1031. with the fancy title of "MINIMUM PERIODS BETWEEN DEPLOYMENT FOR UNITS AND MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES DEPLOYED FOR OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM AND OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM the Senate wrote this: (8) A recent attack through a full-page advertisement in the New York Times by the liberal activist group, Moveon.org, impugns the honor and integrity of General Petraeus

Well, those Canooks did it - the Canadian loonie just beat the US dollar. (First time since 1977.) I found this image on /b/, and since linking there directly will not work - I'm posting it here:
Whenever you compare the merits of Canada's political or economic structure with the United States to a conservative, they almost inevitably accuse our neighbor to the North of being a socialist, 2nd-rate country. While I don't believe either statement is true - as of today, Canadian nay-sayers will have to think of some other reason to discount Canada's liberal policies. Not only has their loonie bested our dollar, but Canada's economy is strong, they have lower unemployment, full heathcare, and no foreign wars. At this rate, the United States is increasingly looking like a second-rate power when compared to Canada. Perhaps Canada-haters can come up with a few new Celine Dion jokes?

Mrs. Elizabeth Kuchinich in a recent Radio interview expressed her hope that her husband will not endorse any of the other Democratic Presidential Candidates.
I applaud her courage and if her husband wants to stay
