The Green Party of Virginia needs to get a minimum of 10,000 valid signatures to get the Green Party presidential candidate on the ballot. The deadline is Aug. 22. According to the May 1 issue of the Ballot Access News they have 2,500 signatures.

The National Ballot Access Committee voted to send $2,500 to this effort. An experienced Green has traveled all the way from California to assist with this effort. He will be in Virginia for 7 weekends and the 6 weeks in between.
