On February 12 the DC Board of Elections and Ethics held the Presidential Preferential Primary in DC. The DC Statehood Green Party has major party status and was on the ballot. Unfortunately the DCBOEE only recently released the write-in results on May 27. Four years ago the DC Statehood Green Party had to sue the DCBOEE to get the write-in results.
On Thursday, May 29 the DCSGP Steering Committee allocated their 16 delegates accordingly:
McKinney 7, Nader 1, Swift 1, Ball 1, Uncommitted 4 and No Candidate 2.
We had 517 certified votes on voting day plus 5 certified absentee ballots making 522 certified votes. (There were also 8 provisional ballots but we have been unable to secure these results.)
McKinney 214 votes
Write-in 144 votes
No Candidate 56 votes
Hawkins (stand-in for Nader) 34 votes
Swift 21 votes
Ball 19 votes
Mesplay 17 votes
Johnson 15 votes
Total 520 votes (not sure what happened to two votes)
Write Ins:
Barak Obama 107 votes
Hillary Clinton 15 votes
Ralph Nader 7 votes
Al Gore 2 votes
13 other write-ins received one vote each
Adding Ralph Nader's 7 write-ins to his 34 regular votes via his Howie Hawkins stand-in, Ralph got 41 votes still yielding only 1 delegate.
The write-ins for Barak Obama were assigned as uncommitted delegates.
